Wishing and waiting

Maudlin line from a song time: "Don't wish, don't start. Wishing only wounds the heart."

Doesn't matter what you wish for. That certain man to think you're terrific, grandparents to live forever instead of fading into nothing, more money so that you can do whatever it is you're wanting...wishing does no good. And yet we all do it.

So I wish and I wait and I know that none of the things I wish for will ever happen. Sigh.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the living forever thing, although I very much wish that I could. But I can tell you this:

My boss is a multimillionaire. He owns a 10-year-old luxury home in Ohio & a brand new villa in Florida (both in exclusive developments, naturally). He has four new-to-newer cars, including a Mercedes SUV, a Jaguar & a Lamborghini. He has an extensive stock portfolio & has spent 11 weeks of the past 44 on vacation. Yet he is the most miserable person I know.

As for the man, you've certainly had plenty of men think you are terrific. They just weren't the right ones for you. You will find someone you adore that thinks you're spectacular too. Now, if only I knew when . . .

Hang in there!
